About us
Gyopo Makgeolli Brewery is a craft brewpub and small dining concept that brews its own makgeolli in-house and serves it through a dedicated draft system, paired with a modern, contemporary take on Korean cuisine. Our menu leans heavily on traditional Korean fermentation — jang-based sauces (soy sauce, gochujang, doenjang), kimchi, and our house-brewed makgeolli are all central to our flavor identity.
We're a Korean diaspora (교포) kitchen at heart: honest, approachable Korean food made with care, paired thoughtfully with our own beverages, in a relaxed local craft brewpub atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to spec across assigned stations (cold, grill, stove)
- Maintain consistency in flavor, portioning, and presentation
- Support fermentation-based prep (kimchi, jang sauces, marinades, etc.)
- Follow recipes, prep lists, and food safety/sanitation standards
- Keep the station organized and stocked during service
- Communicate clearly with the chef and FOH team during service
- Assist with inventory, prep planning, and cleaning duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous line cook experience in a restaurant kitchen (Korean or Asian cuisine experience a plus, but not required)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen safety/sanitation
- Team player with good communication skills
- Korean language skills a plus, but not required
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
