Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Chimney Sweep with masonry duties to join our team in the sud-Ouest of Montreal. This role involves repairing brickwork and installing metal on chimneys. It also involves doing chimney sweeps and estimates.
The ideal candidate will have experience in masonry and construction projects, but we are willing to train the right candidate. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, with a small team for a local business.
Seasonal work from now to December. Contract to be discussed.
Duties
- Pointing and rebuilding masonry
- Install metal crowns and fireplace inserts
- Clean chimney from exterior/interior
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Driving to client homes and work sites
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques for weatherproofing and insulation purposes
- Assist with demolition, site preparation, and cleanup activities as required
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as drills, saws, and grinders
- Experience with construction methods specific to masonry
- Knowledge of masonry materials including bricks, mortar, concrete blocks, and stones
- Good physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and working at heights
- Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards throughout all phases of work
- Professional manners when dealing with clients
- Ability to work in a team and individually
Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
