Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team on a 1-year contract with the potential for extension.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems and components to meet quality, safety, and performance standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in manufacturing and system design, leveraging advanced CAD tools and programming capabilities to develop efficient and reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD software
- Create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly
- Develop system models and simulations using MATLAB and LabVIEW to optimize performance
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software systems
- Conduct testing, validation, and analysis of prototypes and production systems
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications and assembly instructions
- Support manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, drafting, and system design improvements
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues during product development and production phases
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, system design, and schematics
- Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, C++, or similar for automation and control systems
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, CNC machinery, and manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with LabVIEW for data acquisition and control applications
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturing specifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary team environment

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $54,962.20-$125,000.00 per year
