Aspen Heights Retirement Residence is looking for a Part-time Prep Cook to join our team!
Part Time Prep Cook
Schedule Time: 10am- 6pm
Hours (30 hours biweekly)
As the Prep Cook you would be responsible for assisting in the preparation of food for each meal. You would be responsible for ensuring and providing safe, effective, and efficient preparation of food to residence.
Qualifications:
- Experienced in quantity food preparation and the preparation of therapeutic diets.
- Must be familiar with the use of kitchen equipment.
- Current Safe Food Handlers Certification.
- Must have empathy for, and an understanding of the needs of the elderly.
- Must have computer skills.
- Must have the ability to speak, read and write in English, and to follow oral and written directions, and do arithmetic calculations.
· Grade 12 or equivalent; must be familiar with the use of kitchen equipment; empathy and understanding of the needs of the elderly; must have the ability to speak, read and write English and to follow oral and written directions.
