Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Technician to join us. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and equipment maintenance, with experience working on heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of machinery including overhead cranes, hoists and rigging equipment. The Technician will be responsible for inspections, diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring optimal operation of equipment across multiple departments.
Qualifications:
- Preference will be given to those that have been exposed to mechanical, structural and/or electrical equipment.
- Proven experience working with heavy machinery such as overhead cranes, hoists, structural steel and misc. rigging equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation is an asset
- Experience in overhead crane service and repair is a definite asset but not necessary.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- A willingness to travel in and around Southern Saskatchewan, work some overtime as needed, and occasionally respond to unexpected service calls.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting electrical issues on industrial equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
