Global Pet Foods is looking for a Store Lead in Training to join our Charlottetown team.
This is a leadership development role designed for someone with strong retail/customer service experience, great people skills, and the potential to grow into a leadership position.
We know that leading a pet specialty store takes more than being organized. Our customers rely on us for knowledgeable support when choosing food, treats, supplements, toys, and wellness products for their pets. That’s why this role includes structured training, regular feedback, and clear checkpoints as you build both leadership confidence and product knowledge.
What You’ll Do
- Provide friendly, helpful service to pet parents
- Learn about pet food, supplements, treats, toys, litter, and accessories
- Support team members with daily tasks and customer questions
- Help maintain store standards, merchandising, and promotions
- Gradually take on shift leadership responsibilities
- Communicate clearly with staff and management
- Help create a positive, respectful, customer-focused team environment

Helpful Experience
- Retail experience
- Supervisory or shift lead experience
- Customer service experience
- Experience training or coaching others
- Pet industry experience is an asset, but not required
What You’ll Be Working Toward
This role includes a structured 6 to 9 month development path with regular checkpoints. The goal is to help the right person grow into a confident store leader and potential future Store Manager.

Schedule: Days, evenings, and weekends as needed
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage with growth as responsibilities increase
