As the owner transitions away from hands-on technical work, we are seeking an experienced professional to take ownership of the technical side of the business. This is a senior generalist role — not a narrowly specialized position — suited to someone who can confidently diagnose and resolve problems across the full breadth of client environments.
About Us
Unified Technicians is an established managed services provider supporting businesses across the GTA. We have built our reputation on resolving problems thoroughly rather than passing them along, and our long-standing client relationships reflect that approach. As a small team, we offer direct access to leadership, genuine ownership of your work, and a collegial, supportive culture.
About the Role
The scope of this position is intentionally broad. A typical week may include network and firewall troubleshooting, Microsoft 365 administration, hardware diagnostics, client-facing project work, and occasional issues that fall outside a conventional service scope but matter to the client. Success in the first twelve months looks like this: you have become the primary escalation point for our client base, complex problems are resolved without the owner's involvement, and the technical operation runs reliably under your ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary resource for technical support and escalations across our client base, both remotely and on-site
- Diagnose and resolve issues spanning desktops, servers, networking, firewalls, and Microsoft 365 environments
- Monitor, manage, and maintain client environments using our RMM and PSA platforms
- Lead technical projects end-to-end, including new client onboarding, migrations, upgrades, and deployments
- Maintain clear, current documentation of systems, changes, and resolutions
- Communicate with clients professionally, translating technical issues into clear, actionable language
Qualifications
Required:
- Several years of hands-on experience in a managed services provider (MSP) environment
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot effectively across hardware, software, and networking

Preferred:
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft credentials
- Experience with Office 365/Azure
- Practical, hands-on technical aptitude that extends beyond IT systems
