Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Mining Engineer role based in Cariboo , BC. The Mining Engineer will design, plan, and optimize mine layouts, production schedules, and extraction methods to support safe and efficient operations. Daily responsibilities include conducting technical analyses, preparing mine plans and reports, monitoring production data, and leading the engineering team and program on-site. The role involves overseeing implementation of engineering designs, participating in site inspections, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company standards. The Mining Engineer will also contribute to cost estimation, risk assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives related to mine performance and resource recovery.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Mine Planning skills, including designing pit or underground layouts, scheduling, and resource optimization.
- Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills for data interpretation, problem-solving, and technical decision-making.
- Candidates should possess core Mining Engineering skills, including knowledge of mining methods, ventilation, ground control, and equipment selection.,
- Experience working in active mine sites, preferably in Canadian or similarly regulated jurisdictions.
- Strong understanding of mine safety standards, environmental regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency with mine planning and design software .
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work on-site in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Eligibility for, or membership in, a professional engineering association (e.g., P.Eng.) is an asset.
- Candidates must Live in Canada (Western Canada Prioritized)
