Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Route Manager/Delivery Merchandiser to lead our delivery and merchandising operations in the BC area. This vital role combines the excitement of route driving with the strategic elements of sales, customer service, and merchandising. **Will be operating 3-5 tonne trucks
Duties
- Manage daily delivery routes, ensuring timely and accurate product distribution across assigned areas
- Conduct heavy lifting and physical merchandising tasks to set up displays, stock shelves, and maintain product presentation standards
- Utilize strong organizational skills to plan efficient routes, prioritize deliveries, and minimize delays
- Engage with customers professionally to provide excellent service, answer questions, and promote upselling opportunities
- Apply pricing knowledge to ensure correct product pricing and promotional displays are maintained according to company standards
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding route updates, delivery issues, or customer feedback
- Perform routine vehicle inspections for safety compliance and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent driving certification with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, route management, or delivery services preferred
- Strong math skills for calculating deliveries, pricing adjustments, and inventory counts
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
- Proven ability in merchandising, upselling, and sales techniques to maximize revenue opportunities
- Physical ability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing manual tasks efficiently
- Organizational skills essential for route planning and time management
- Military experience is a plus due to discipline, leadership qualities, and familiarity with logistics operations
