Job Summary
Guu Original Thurlow is currently looking for energetic and motivated Line Cooks / Chefs to join our izakaya team in downtown Vancouver.
We are seeking team members who are passionate about Japanese food, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and want to grow both personally and professionally. Whether you already have strong kitchen experience or are looking to further develop your skills, we provide hands-on training and opportunities to grow within our team.
At Guu, teamwork, energy, and hospitality are at the heart of what we do. Our open kitchen environment also allows you to interact and communicate directly with guests, creating a fun and engaging dining experience.
Shifts
Dinner: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Requirements
- Bright, energetic personality with strong communication skills
- Previous kitchen experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a valid visa with at least 10 months remaining
- Flexible availability including weekends and evening shifts
- Passion for Japanese food and izakaya culture is a plus
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
