Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks according to company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage customer orders efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling food items and maintaining cleanliness of workstations
- Ensure food safety and proper handling of all food items in compliance with health regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and supplies
- Assist with serving customers at the counter or drive-thru as needed
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including basic math calculations for transactions
- Follow food safety protocols and ensure proper food handling procedures are adhered to at all times
Skills
- Previous barista experience or background in food service is highly desirable
- Proficiency with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for order entry and transactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Minimum 2 years experience in serving, food preparation, and general food industry practices is a plus
- Evening Availability is must
