We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson to join our team in Gibbons.
This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automotive equipment to ensure optimal manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vehicle maintenance, electrical systems, and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all automotive vehicles
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems using schematics and analysis skills
- Operate and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order management and documentation
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and procedures
- Assist with installation, calibration, and testing of new equipment
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and efficiently
Requirements
- Valid Journeyperson certification or equivalent experience the automotive industry
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and processes
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software
- Ability to read schematics and perform analysis for troubleshooting purposes
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective documentation and teamwork
- Demonstrated safety awareness and adherence to industry standards
- Customer service orientation with problem-solving abilities
- Analysis skills to diagnose issues efficiently in complex systems
- Relevant experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance environments
