Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of freight.
Duties
- Operate and drive trucks to transport goods to designated locations in Newfoundland
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding routes, schedules, and any issues encountered during transport.
- Adhere to all local, provincial, and federal transportation regulations.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks on the vehicle as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
- Knowledge of automotive repair principles is a plus for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
- Experience in heavy equipment operation may be beneficial for certain transport tasks.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- Able to float and move heavy equipment
- Able to use various trailers including gooseneck lowbed floats, semi-dump and flat deck trailers
Wage is based on experience

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
