Only candidates who have a minimum of 3 years verifiable experience (through insurance claims history report) driving Class One semi trucks in Canada will be considered for this position. Any one with out semi truck driving experience will not be considered.

We are a family run company with a fleet of 8 trucks and multiple trailers based in Ardrossan, AB. We are federally regulated, and we haul mostly in western Canada, but will go across Canada when needed. We haul yellow iron large and small, railway maintenance equipment, crawler crane components, RT and AT cranes, buildings and shacks, as well as anything else our customers require.
Job description
We are looking for a class one driver with at least 3 years of Canadian driving experience(insurance history letters will be needed). Equipment hauling experience is preferred. Multi-axle combination experience is an asset and will demand the highest pay. During slow times we offer our drivers shop work at an agreed upon shop rate. We offer overtime after 50 hours per week, as well as health, dental, life insurance, and long-term disability coverage after 3 months. 36-hour resets on the road are rare, but do occur from time to time. In that event, or any other mechanical or operational delay on the road, drivers will be paid 8 hour minimum per 24 hours delayed as well as hotel accomodations provided. 60 ton to 80 ton trailer loads are paid a premium on billed hours on top of driver's wages. Unless time is booked off in advance, drivers are expected to be available for their legal HOS maximum every week. We use Motive e-log systems, and adhere to all federal HOS regulations. Overweight and oversize permitted loads are the norm, so the ability to understand permits and coordinate with pilot trucks is an asset.
