JSP Farms, located in South Western SK, is looking for an Equipment Operator to assist with operations during the 2026 growing season.
- Start Date: ASAP
- Wage: $28/hr (negotiable depending on experience)
- Seasonal position with possibility to extend for the right individual
- Shared accommodation available
General Duties Include:
- Operate Equipment related to general farm work and the planting, growing and harvesting of crops in a safe and productive manner.
- Assist with mechanical repairs.
- Ensure equipment is stored in a clean condition, out of the weather elements if possible.
- General maintenance; fuel filling, greasing, oiling, wash and detail cleaning of cabs, updating equipment records.
- Mixing chemicals in collaboration with the Farm Manager when required
- Ensure cleanliness of all buildings and the farmyard itself (garbage disposal, cutting grass, trimming trees, etc.)
Skills and Attributes
- Experience operating a variety of equipment related to growing and harvesting crops.
- Able to perform basic maintenance on tractors, augers, air seeders, harrows, pumps, sprayers, swathers, semis, combines, grain cart and grain vacuum, and others as required.
- Have a positive, can-do attitude.
- Enjoy working as part of a team.
- Effectively take direction from leadership.
- Approach all activities with a safety-first mindset.
- Willing to work overtime when necessary.
Physical Demands
- Able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Able to lift 50lbs.
- Able to reach and bend.
- Able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
