Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, inclusive stylist or barber for employment OR chair rental part-time or full-time. This role involves providing exceptional hair styling and grooming services to clients, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment, and contributing to the overall success of our salon. The ideal candidate will have a passion for beauty and customer service, inclusivity, fashion, and learning.
Fully licensed candidates only
Employee stylists will be paid standard salon commission rates or hourly.
Responsibilities
- Perform hair cutting, styling, coloring, and grooming services tailored to each client's preferences
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools
- Provide excellent customer service by listening to client needs and offering professional advice
- Help manage front desk tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and processing payments
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure a positive experience from start to finish
- Keep up-to-date with the latest hair trends, techniques, and salon procedures
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Proficiency in hair styling, cutting, coloring, and grooming techniques
- Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and team members
- A strong social media presence is ideal but not mandatory
