About the role
Rolls-Right Industries is looking for an experienced truck driver to join our growing operations. This position is primarily dedicated to cross-border freight between British Columbia and Washington/Oregon. When cross-border loads are not available, the driver will support local in-town deliveries and other regional work as required.
What you'll be doing
- Running dedicated cross-border lanes (BC → Washington/Oregon and return)
- Operating under our Canadian National Safety Code and US DOT authorities
- Maintaining accurate ELD/logbook compliance for cross-border runs
- Coordinating with dispatch on pickup and delivery timing at US customer locations
What We're Looking for
To operate in US interstate commerce under FMCSA regulations, all applicants must meet the following qualifications:
1. Licence & Driving Record
- Valid BC Class 1 (or equivalent provincial commercial licence) — no suspensions or major restrictions
- Clean driver's abstract/MVR
- Must be able to provide a copy of licence and current abstract upon application
2. Driver Qualification File
- Completed driver application for employment/contract services
- Previous 3 years of regulated driving employment history for safety-performance inquiry
- Valid road test certificate or equivalent qualification documentation
3. Medical
- Valid medical examiner's certificate (or accepted Canadian equivalent)
- Any restrictions must be compatible with cross-border commercial driving
4. Drug & Alcohol
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test (negative result required)
- Must be enrolled in our random testing pool
- Must be registered in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse (we will add you upon hire)
5. Hours of Service
- Working knowledge of FMCSA HOS rules
- Must maintain ELD records and supporting documents (fuel receipts, toll receipts, BOLs)
6. Vehicle Operations
- Familiar with DVIR procedures and pre/post-trip inspection requirements
7. Border Crossing
- Valid passport or approved travel document
- Must carry valid licence, vehicle registration, and insurance documentation when crossing
Pay: $8,000.00-$15,000.00 per month
