Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent guest service, preparing and serving food, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, customer service, and restaurant operations within a dynamic food industry setting. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required. The position emphasizes teamwork, efficiency, and adherence to food safety standards to deliver a positive dining experience for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cashiering duties
- Manage guest orders efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer service
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations for billing purposes
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic cooking and assembling menu items
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Support team members in maintaining a welcoming environment for guests
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Ability to handle food safely and efficiently during high-volume periods
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure timely service
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or kitchen operations is advantageous
- A positive attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction and teamwork

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
