We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Contractor or Cleaning Company to service multi-residential buildings located in Downtown Halifax and the surrounding areas. The selected vendor will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and professional environment through scheduled recurring cleaning services.
This is a contract-based opportunity, ideal for small cleaning companies looking to add steady, recurring work to their schedule.
Scope of Work
- Travel to assigned apartment buildings to provide cleaning and housekeeping services in common areas and if needed, guest turnover units
- Perform routine, deep, and move-in/move-out cleaning
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces
- Maintain hallways (sweeping, scrubbing per schedule)
- Clean office spaces, amenities, and washrooms
- Empty garbage and recycling; service garbage rooms and chutes
- Ensure proper waste sorting and disposal in compliance with local regulations
- Manage cleaning supply inventory
- Use company mobile app to check in/out and upload photos
- Conduct inspections and quality checks
- Report damages, issues, or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas
- Provide professional and courteous service to residents
- Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE

Must-Haves to Be Considered:
- Have 2 years of proven experience with commercial cleaning
- Reliable staff and supervision structure
- Valid Business License
- Certificate of Insurance (COI) (General Liability required)
- Willing to undergo a criminal background check
- Mobile Phone with Internet Access
- Be reliable, professional, on time and detail-oriented
- Preferred but not required: own car and driving license
- Cleaning equipment and supplies to perform the services
How the contract will be assigned
- If your business is selected, we will propose you a first test job. We will walk you through the required standards and see if the cooperation works for both parties.
- A contract will be assigned to you.
How You Will Get Paid
- Perform services as scheduled during a Monday–Sunday cycle
- Payments are issued biweekly, covering services completed during the prior two-week period.
