Overview
Brona Transport is currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Dump Truck Driver to transport construction materials across the Maritimes. This is a full-time, permanent position offering stable, year-round work and competitive compensation.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump truck safely and efficiently to transport construction materials
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections (tires, brakes, lights, signals, etc.)
- Complete and maintain accurate logbooks (electronic or manual)
- Prepare and manage transportation documentation (e.g., bills of lading)
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Ensure compliance with all safety and transportation regulations
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Minimum 2 years of driving experience, including at least 1 year operating a dump truck
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Experience
- Proven experience operating dump trucks in a commercial setting.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including forklifts is preferred.
- Familiarity with freight handling and transportation regulations is essential.
- Experience with automotive repair or basic mechanical troubleshooting is a plus.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record required.
