Job Summary
OneStop Rug Cleaning is looking for a professional, organized, and ambitious Receptionist/Shop Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for customers, both in person and over the phone, while also supporting day-to-day shop operations. This role requires fluent English communication, strong organizational skills, comfort with Excel/Google Sheets, and a hands-on attitude — you'll be doing more than sitting at a desk. Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and manage front desk operations at the shop
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and book appointments/pickups
- Enter and update customer and order information accurately using our CRM system
- Track rug orders using Excel/Google Sheets, including pricing, status, and delivery dates
- Tag and label incoming rugs, and help track rugs through the cleaning process (intake to pickup)
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
- Assist with light administrative tasks (emails, invoices, correspondence)
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the OneStop brand professionally
- Help keep the shop and reception area clean, organized, and presentable
- Support with basic shop tasks as needed (assisting with rug handling, general shop upkeep)

- Fluent English, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets (comfortable managing spreadsheets and data entry)
- Ambitious, reliable, and eager to grow with the business
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced, hands-on shop environment
- Customer service mindset with strong communication skills
- Experience with a CRM system is an asset
- Prior experience in a shop, retail, or front-desk setting is a plus
- Willingness to learn rug tagging and basic order-tracking processes
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
