We are looking for a skilled Bicycle Mechanic / Store Assembly Technician to join our TEAM! This employment opportunity consists of two parts. The first being the store Bicycle Mechanic, and the second being the Store Assembly Technician. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a passion for cycling, and a commitment to keeping our customers riding safely. They should be an organized and detail oriented person with excellent Mechanical and Building skills and capable of reading and interpreting assembly instructions.
The tasks are as follows:
Bicycle Mechanic:
Assembling new bicycles out of the box
Diagnosing mechanical issues, and performing high-quality repairs and tune-ups
Contacting Vendors for replacement parts
Maintain a clean, organized workspace
Stock the bikes on the retail sales floor
Be able to assist and answer bike related questions from staff and customers
Bike building and repairing experience is a must
Store Assembly Technician:
Able to read assembly instruction schematics
Able to use hand tools to build store products
Able to troubleshoot damaged or missing parts
-Build store Displays (furniture, cabinets, BBQ's etc.)
-Build customer purchases (furniture, cabinets, BBQ's etc.)
Physical Demands (based on 8-hour shift with standard breaks)
- Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours
- Able to lift 50 lbs unassisted and carry as required
- Ability to lift and turn repeatedly throughout the shift
- Ability to lift above shoulder and from floor to shoulder and floor to waist
- Ability to go up and down a ladder while carrying merchandise
- Ability to walk and carry at same time & push/pull as required
- Able to twist, turn, reach and work above shoulder level
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 37.5 per week
