ROLE
Under the direction of the Manager, Clinical Nutrition, Diabetes & Nutrition, Nutrition & Food Services, the Supervisor, Nutrition and Food Services is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Nutrition & Food Services departments within HPHA. The Supervisor enthusiastically champions the provision of quality services to our patients and customers.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION(S)
- Diploma in Nutrition and Food Service Management from an accredited program required or relevant education in a nutrition related field
- Membership in C.S.N.M.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE(S)
- Evidence of continued professional growth and development
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a large number of staff in a collaborative environment
- Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning and administrative abilities
- Ability to research and implement leading practice, evidence-based decision making and quality-based programming in order to meet and exceed industry benchmarks and performance metrics
- Experience in a LEAN environment with associated LEAN healthcare education
- High level of initiative and self-direction
- Demonstrated proficiency in coaching, mentoring, team development, conflict resolution, and interpersonal relationships
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer literate
DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE(S) & EDUCATION
- 5 years management experience in a unionized setting preferred
- Previous MediTech experience an asset
