As our portfolio and entity structure have grown, so has the complexity of our accounting — and we're looking for an experienced Property Accountant to take ownership of full-cycle and intercompany accounting across our property management company and affiliated holding companies.
About the Role
You'll be the go-to person for the day-to-day accounting of our property management operations and related holding companies. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable owning the books end to end, managing intercompany transactions between multiple entities, and working in both Yardi and QuickBooks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle accounting for the property management company and multiple holding company entities
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations across entities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including tenant billing and vendor payments
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all entities
- Prepare month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records in Yardi and QuickBooks
- Prepare monthly financial statements and owner/management reports
- Reconcile security deposits, escrow accounts, and property-level cash accounts
- Assist with budgeting, CAM reconciliations, and year-end audit or tax preparation support
- Identify and implement process improvements as the company continues to grow
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Property accounting experience
- full-cycle accounting experience
- Hands-on experience with Yardi (property management accounting)
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of intercompany accounting and multi-entity structures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multiple entities or a holding company structure
- Familiarity with CAM reconciliations and lease administration
- Experience in a small-to-mid-size company where you wore multiple hats
Pay: $58,000.00-$78,000.00 per year
