Position Overview
The Machinist supports the R&D and Production departments by manufacturing, modifying, and improving precision components using CNC machines and other machining equipment. This role produces prototype and production parts, evaluates their fit and functionality, and works with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturability, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain CNC machines to produce precision components to specifications.
- Read and interpret CAD drawings and technical specifications.
- Create and modify part designs for prototypes and production.
- Operate drill presses, lathes, grinders, and other machine shop equipment safely.
- Inspect and test prototype and production parts for fit, function, and quality.
- Modify and improve parts to support manufacturability and product requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams on product development and process improvements.
- Support production with machining, assembly, and other manufacturing activities as required.
- Develop and maintain machining procedures, work instructions, and production guides.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Position Requirements
- College diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Machining, or a related field.
- Experience operating CNC machines and other machine shop equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
- Hands-on experience with machining, power tools, and assembly processes.
- Knowledge of machine shop safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
