This position is responsible for supervising groups of children in the Day Camp program, at MAC Vancouver Center, duration 9 weeks, Starting Jun 26.

Participate in staff training.

Assists with identifying, analyzing and finding solution to any issues would be raised during the camp

Supervise and monitor Lead facilitators, Facilitators, Counselors, and Assistant Counselors.

Gather correct student skills development data for end of camp reports

Participate in pre-camp required process design sessions
-
Oversee timesheets and all other forms.

Assure all paperwork is kept accurate including but not limited to: waivers, attendance, medical forms, Safety, contact list etc..

Liaise with the center manager & or directors to handle discipline and other issues

Provide a leadership role within each cabin group to support a safe and enjoyable experience for campers.

Submit camper reports and incident reports in a timely manner.

Maintain a current and accurate record of all children enrolled in the Summer Camp or on the wait list.

Assists in supervising volunteers and evaluating volunteers throughout the summer.

Notify program director of any safety concerns immediately.

Organize and implement engaging activities.

Establish and enforce camp rules.
-
Maintain cleanliness of camp locations.
-
Foster a fun and positive environment for campers.
-
Ensure proper care and maintenance of equipment.
-
Assist with completing accident and behavior reports.

Conduct headcounts at the beginning and end of each activity.

Address and manage disciplinary issues.
-
Perform daily chores and prepare for activities.
-
Highly motivated to work in diverse roles, including outdoor settings.

Minimum of one season of camp experience and/or equivalent leadership experience working with children in a community setting.

Comfortable working outdoors during winter weather.
-
Certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid are preferred.

Understanding of child development, including physical, emotional, and developmental patterns.

Strong team player with experience in collaborative environments.

Effective communication skills with students, small groups, teachers, and parents.

Conflict resolution skills and a positive attitude.

Strong organizational skills to meet the needs of individuals and groups.
-
Ability to work with small and large groups in classroom or camp settings.
-
Experience in an elementary school environment is an asset.
