At Investigative Risk Management, a leading investigations firm located in Barrie, Ontario, we’re looking for a seasoned Operations Manager, someone who believes they are uniquely equipped to lead the charge.

The Role:
As Operations Manager, you’ll report directly to our President and oversee every element of field operations. This isn't a desk job; it’s a mission.
You’ll:
- Review new investigative files and align them with client expectations.
- Assign, schedule, and oversee surveillance and investigative operations, from insurance, corporate, civil to criminal matters .
- Guide and support investigators in the field with your tactical knowledge.
- Review and approve reports, video evidence, and strategic direction.
- Communicate with clients and handle complex cases with the same professionalism you brought to the force.
- Keep operations on time, on budget, and on point; every time.
And when duty calls, you’ll even jump into support the team because leadership here isn’t about watching from the sidelines; it’s about standing in the trenches when needed.
Lead with Experience:
You’ll supervise a team of investigators and office staff, lead training and development, and ensure everyone meets the high standards you lived by in uniform.
You’ll also be responsible for:
- Ensuring all investigative activity is ethical, accurate, and within budget.
- Monitoring hours, mileage claims, and investigator performance.
- Supporting staff discipline and growth through clear expectations and steady guidance.
- Representing IRM at industry trade shows and events.
What You Bring:
- A valid PI license, or willing to obtain.
- Deep understanding of investigations, surveillance, and reporting standards.
- Experience leading teams and making high-level operational decisions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Confidence working with clients, writing reports, and managing sensitive information.
- Tech proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of investigative software is a plus.
