What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will manage the Canadian Tax Operations team in Canada. You will be responsible for managing all activities related to Canadian tax reporting, tax withholding and tax remittance to the CRA and Revenue Quebec for all custody platforms (Trust, BANCS, Gplus, Milvus). Minimizing financial risk by ensuring compliance with CRA and Revenue Quebec reporting and remittance rules and internal policies and procedures.
What will you do?
Responsible for the strategy as well as the accurate and timely production of all Canadian Tax Slips and Ad hoc reporting
Responsible for overall management of the tax process, regulatory filings, Print Vendor management, coordination with all internal teams related to the tax process for custody accounts as well as the ongoing income reconciliation and CRA remittance activities
Streamline business and IT related processes to contribute towards Organizational goals
Establish and lead an environment of continuous improvement and change
Ensure employees understand our vision, as well as support and reinforce client focused behaviors that contribute to RBC IS goals.
Accept and successfully execute change while supporting employees through the process and keeping them focused on business priorities.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
Post Secondary education
Strong organization and time management skills
Must possess excellent communications (written & oral) skills
7+ years of related tax reporting experience in the investment fund industry or public accounting preferably in the financial services industry
Nice-to-have:
Knowledge of the Entitlements processing
Experience in investment management
Project management skills

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:
$105,000.00 - $155,000.00
The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location.
