Job Overview:
We are seeking an Accountant to join a progressive, privately owned group of companies with diverse operations. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, well organized, and able to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment, including providing support for customer inquiries and incoming phone calls when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle accounting through to trial balance
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Complete bank reconciliations
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Process a variety of daily sales reports
- Prepare and file government remittances
- Prepare financial statements
- Assist with answering incoming phone calls
- Provide support to customers as needed
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in an intermediate accounting role
- Degree or diploma with a concentration in Accounting
- Completion of, or near completion of, CPA designation
- Strong understanding of ASPE and/or GAAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language
- Must have a vehicle to drive to/from work (limited public transit in our area)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
