Lead Fitness Equipment Installation Technician
Fitness Experience is Western Canada's leading commercial and residential fitness equipment retailer. We are looking for strong enthusiastic team members to support our customers purchases with the delivery, installation and servicing of their fitness equipment. Interested applicants need to be able to carry heavy items (i.e. treadmills & ellipticals) into various facilities and residences. We have worked hard to become the best install and service team in Canada. There are opportunities to travel to other provinces and states for larger facility installs like Planet Fitness, Anytime Fitness and Universities.
Position Overview
Under the direction of the Logistics and Fulfillment Manager, the Fitness Equipment Installation Technician must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and in accordance with company policies and procedures. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Description of positions responsibilities:
- Ability to lift and carry fitness products (treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, gyms and weights). Team lifts up to 500lbs.
- Valid drivers license required.
- Experienced with contractor tools such as cordless impacts and drills. Will be expected to build and test fitness equipment.
- Availability for full-time employment Monday thru Friday between 7am-7pm with occasional evenings. Overtime available! Normal shift time is 9am-5pm.
- Reporting on jobs performed including payments taken from customers and any relevant issues
- Basic knowledge of smartphone applications i.e. Google Calendar.
- Reading and comprehending manufacturer assembly instructions and following safe lifting procedures.
- Knowledge of various tools and multimeter application. (Training also provided).
- Troubleshoot various issues that arise with mechanical and technical units.
- Cooperate with the entire service & sales team and share information across the organization.
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.
- Build positive relationships with customers.
- Follow routes and time schedule.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle.
- Aid in the proper disposal of garbage and recycling within the field as well as at any of the company locations.
- Ability to travel for training with different manufacturers as required.
- Ability to successfully pass security clearances for various government facilities.
- Forklift experience a plus.
Newly hired employees are reviewed at the 3 month mark of employment for wage increases and benefit package implementation.
