Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic – $42–$45/hr + Overtime | Steady Work
Big Roads Truck Repair Ltd. is hiring an experienced Journeyman (Red Seal) Heavy Equipment Technician / Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our growing team.

What We Offer
- $42–$45/hour, based on experience
- Overtime paid at 1.5x (after 8 hours/day or 44 hours/week)
- Consistent, year-round work (no layoffs)
- Monday–Friday schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)

What You’ll Be Working On
You won’t be stuck doing repetitive work.
We service a wide range of equipment across multiple industries:
- Highway trucks & trailers
- Heavy equipment
- Agricultural equipment
- Oil & gas / energy sector equipment
- Civil and construction equipment
Fleet and retail work – strong variety every day
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of equipment
- Complete work orders efficiently and accurately
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Support mobile service calls as required
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Journeyman certification (Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician)
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred:
- CVIP certification
- Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license
- Experience across multiple equipment types (trucks, heavy equipment, etc.)
- Electrical and advanced diagnostic experience
