You hold a valid and current Certificate of Qualification in the province of BC.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in automotive repair. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. The Automotive Technician will work with various tools, including hand tools and power tools, to perform repairs and assemble components as needed.
Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot automotive issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Repair or replace defective parts and components in accordance with dealership standards.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to conduct repairs and assembly tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed on vehicles.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques to enhance skills.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic, preferably in a dealership setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to weld is a plus but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications are a plus.
