As a Senior Manager, Sales Effectiveness (Wealth):
Reporting to the AVP, Wealth Distribution, you will drive growth across the Wealth business by leading advice and sales effectiveness programs that strengthen Member relationships and improve advisor productivity. This role leads a team accountable for developing and delivering programs, tools, processes, and reporting that support Wealth business objectives and advisor performance.
As the central owner of Wealth advice and sales programs, learning needs, and best practices, this role partners closely with Wealth leadership, Marketing, Data & Analytics, and external partners (Aviso) to enable frontline success. Responsibilities include enhancing sales enablement and practice management, supporting recognition programs, monitoring product usage within policy, and leveraging data insights to improve tools, workflows, and advisor capability.
What you will do:
Wealth Strategy & Performance Management
- Develop and implement Wealth sales effectiveness strategies that drive performance and productivity across the Wealth network, with a focus on new and existing Members.
- Implement and champion Wealth initiatives to support growth aligned to enterprise objectives.
- Advanced analytics, large dataset management, developing new reporting methods/tools/models and profitability analysis at Member level.
- Analyze scorecard data, product sales, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
- Review sales performance reporting and analysis at the Advisor, Region, and Wealth levels; monitor trends and highlight areas for sales focus
- Monitor and refine current sales activities that support Wealth products and profitable growth.
- Provide insights and observations to Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs) on areas of growth and efficiency opportunities for advisors.
Sales Enablement & Best Practices
- Build sales and service best practices to support Member conversations, sales goals, and objection handling.
- Develop job aids, scripting, and tools to support best‑in‑class financial planning engagement with Members.
- Ensure frontline team adherence to key Wealth product and pricing policies as part of overall sales practices.
- Ownership of Wealth product and pricing policies.
- Design & implement financial planning standards & best practices that ensure Meridian Members have a high-quality planning experience.
- Champion sales initiatives, campaigns, and webinars, including partner involvement and monthly updates to AVPs and RVPs in the field.
- Collaborate with Meridian business partners on referral programs, including working with Marketing on campaigns and lead deployment.
Learning, Coaching & Capability Building
- Lead the design & planning of skill‑builder sessions - related to both advisor sales & service practices, compliance & risk management, use of emerging technologies, and Wealth industry trends.
- Support change initiatives by partnering with Transformation teams, Wealth Operations, Aviso, AVPs and RVPs to ensure employee adoption of new tools, technology, and best practices.
Recognition & Engagement
- Lead Reward & Recognition programs for Wealth and partners, including monthly, quarterly, and annual Top Performer recognition.
- Manage the quarterly and annual iSucceed program for Wealth.
- Support the agenda planning, presentation content, and logistics for at least 2 wealth townhalls annually (virtual and in-person).
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Partnership
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (functional departments and other Lines of Business) to ensure alignment of sales strategies, initiatives, best practices, and process improvements.
- Work with Marketing, Enterprise Analytics, Retail & Business Banking teams to structure new referral and prospecting opportunities.
- Liaise with 3rd parties - through our dealer Aviso, along with various investment product partners to deliver on Wealth's overall sales goals.
People Leadership
- Contribute to Meridian’s success by cascading expectations and objectives that are aligned with Meridian’s strategic priorities.
- Participate in the recruitment, development, and performance management of employees within the department to optimize employee and department potential.
- Clearly communicate expectations to team members, providing ongoing coaching, feedback and recognition on all productivity and quality aspects.
- Lead effective performance management processes, employee development plans, conduct regular one on one meetings, and coaching strategies for direct reports.
- Work with team members to ensure that service level agreements are met by prioritizing deliverables.
How you will succeed:
- 5–7+ years of progressive experience in sales effectiveness, sales enablement, or a related Wealth/financial services role
- Proven people leadership experience with the ability to coach, influence, and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization
- Strong knowledge of CRM systems and sales tools & technology, with experience leveraging data & AI to identify opportunities and improve advisor performance.
- Advanced analytical capability, including large data set management, reporting, trend analysis, and translating insights into action plans
- Experience leading sales initiatives, campaigns, projects, learning sessions, and recognition or rewards programs
- Strong understanding of Wealth products, pricing policies, and the competitive landscape
- Highly collaborative, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Excellent communication skills, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Salary Range: CAD $110,000 - $125,000
Compensation for this role is based on a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity. Candidates with stronger alignment to the role’s requirements may be placed higher within the range. Your recruiter will share more information about our total rewards package during the hiring process.
