Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

We are a well-established food importer and distributor serving major grocery chains and independent retailers across Canada. We are looking for an experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to join our team and take ownership of our daily warehouse shipping and receiving operations.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities.
- Schedule inbound and outbound shipments with carriers.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation.
- Ensure orders are shipped accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with Customer Service, Sales, Procurement, and Warehouse teams.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and transportation issues.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and investigate variances.
- Communicate with freight carriers regarding appointments, delays, claims, and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and food safety requirements.
- Support warehouse shipping and receiving staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in shipping and receiving supervision.
- Experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working with ERP/WMS systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in the food industry is considered a strong asset.
