Job Title: Warehouse Assistants

Our client is seeking to hire multiple Warehouse Assistants to support safe and efficient railcar loading, hopper car washing, packaging operations, and quality sampling at a busy industrial site.
What's the Job?
- Safely wash hopper cars and support loading/unloading of railcars
- Ensure timely delivery of products by meeting schedules set with Logistics
- Prepare, load, and document box samples and collect run samples for lab analysis
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and participate in safety meetings and audits
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the operating unit
Packaging Operations (Boxing):
- Operate within Standard Operating Procedures and troubleshoot packaging equipment
- Assemble, fill, cap, and label corrugated boxes
- Perform sampling for Quality Control analysis
- Operate forklifts to move packaged materials to warehouse storage
- Complete SAP/SAP-OSEM entries and maintain accurate production logs
Material Flow & Outside Area Duties:
- Maintain cleanliness of wash areas, barns, and surrounding units
- Clean process waterways, ditches, and ponds
- Conduct quality sampling from finished goods in railcars
- Manage waste and recycling collection across the site
- Ensure stock levels of loading supplies (cable seals, additives)
- Maintain accurate operational logs
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in rail yard operations, packaging, or material handling (asset)
- Forklift certification and hands-on experience
- Valid G driver’s license
- Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel (asset)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of quality control systems (e.g., ISO)
- Safety training (e.g., WHMIS, First Aid/CPR, PPE, spill response) is an asset
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in an organized manner
- Self-starter with a proactive and dependable approach
