Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications and event requirements
- Set up catering stations, buffet tables, and serving areas with appropriate utensils, linens, and decorations
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist in food presentation and garnishing to enhance visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and serving areas throughout the event
- Coordinate with event staff to ensure smooth delivery of catering services
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or catering services within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Kitchen experience including meal preparation and food presentation is preferred
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and customer service excellence is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed
- Flexibility to work during weekends or evenings depending on event schedules
