Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated Janitorial Services staff to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in a commercial facility in Burlington. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to facility upkeep through detailed cleaning and supporting overall operational efficiency. Positions include Monday to Sunday during night/closed hours and day porter for Saturdays and Sundays only, during the day.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to ensure safety and cleanliness
- Dispose of trash and recyclables in designated containers, ensuring proper waste management procedures are followed
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap to ensure availability at all times
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout assigned areas, adhering to company policies and health regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or commercial cleaning preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidates
- Knowledge of how to use floor scrubber is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough cleaning efficiently
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety guidelines
- Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts
- Excellent time management skills to complete assigned duties within scheduled hours
