The Baker is responsible for assisting with the preparation, baking, presentation, and storage of baked goods while supporting overall kitchen food preparation activities. This role ensures that all products are prepared according to recipes, quality standards, food safety regulations, and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Ensure all bakery products meet presentation and quality standards before serving or display.
- Assist with daily food preparation for breakfast, lunch, banquet, or catering services.
- Portion and package food items according to established standards.
- Assist cooks and chefs with kitchen preparation and production requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area at all times.
- Follow production schedules and complete assigned tasks within designated timelines.
- Monitor ingredient levels and report shortages to supervisors.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, and temperature control procedures.
- Ensure equipment and workstations are cleaned and sanitized after use.
- Report any food safety concerns, equipment issues, or workplace hazards immediately.
Pay: $16.25-$16.75 per hour
