We are currently seeking a Part Time Kitchen Aide to assist in the preparation of our meals for our Adult Day Programs, Meals On Wheels, and frozen meals. This is a part time role working 20 hours per week.
SUMMARY:
The kitchen aide assists the head cook in the delivery of the food services program and provides support to the coordination of the Hot and Frozen meal programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Physical ability to manage the requirements; heavy lifting, working in heat and humidity.
- Experience doing quantity cooking (willing to train right candidate)
- Working knowledge of special dietary needs including but not limited to: diabetic, low- salt, low-fat, Celiac, puree.
- 1-2 years' work experience in a commercial kitchen would be considered an asset.
- Certificate in Safe Food Handling.
- Possession of Food Service Worker Certificate would be considered an asset.
