This is a Maternity Leave coverage position that will last approximately from August 2026 until mid-August 2027 with a possibility becoming permanent.
Afternoon shift: 2-7pm on Weekdays
At least 1 Saturday a month will be required: 10am to 4pm
Coverage for emergencies may be required with short notice.
Qureshy Footcare Clinic is seeking a front desk receptionist/Medical Assistant. We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic individual.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting and registering patients
- Scheduling appointments and maintaining practitioner schedules
- Booking and scheduling of appointments in person, by telephone, and via faxed requisitions
- Communicating with patients: confirming appointments, explaining necessary preparations for tests, or visits as required
- Helping walk-in patients
- Cleaning and sterilizing treatment instruments
- Cleaning and set up of the treatment rooms
- Calling insurance companies to check patient’s extended health insurance coverage
- Processing claims online for eligible patients
- Filling out insurance forms and mailing out, ensuring a paper trail for all transactions
- Calling patients for follow up
- Scanning documents into patient files
- Maintaining and updating patient records
- Perform any ad-hoc requests
- Sending reports to referring physicians
- Liaising with allied health professionals and referring physician
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
- Ensuring inventory is up to date
- Ordering supplies and receiving incoming shipments
Qualifications and Experience
- MUST have working knowledge of Jane App EMR.
- Must have Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to deal with patients on the phone and via emails
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, friendly attitude and willingness to learn
- Confident in Computer skills including Microsoft Office & learning medical software.
- Proficient in emails, using scanner or printers etc
- Self-motivated, patient, compassionate
- Ability to multi-task and handle a busy environment
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Interest in operational improvement and marketing
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work well within a team
- Experience with a Point of Sale (POS) System
- Experience and/or education in medical office administration would be preferred, but training will be provided to the right candidate. We offer a welcoming work environment, and opportunity for growth and development.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour
