We are looking for a part-time Sales Development Representative to support business development and help identify prospective clients who may benefit from our accounting and bookkeeping services.

The Opportunity
This role is ideal for someone interested in sales, business development, entrepreneurship, and professional services.
You will work directly with experienced professionals while developing practical skills in outbound communication, prospect research, lead qualification, CRM management, and professional relationship building.
This is a part-time remote position requiring approximately 15–20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify prospective clients within target industries
- Contact business owners and decision-makers by phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Introduce prospective clients to Peregrine’s bookkeeping and accounting services
- Ask discovery questions to understand a prospect’s business needs
- Qualify potential opportunities based on fit and interest
- Schedule meetings between qualified prospects and firm leadership
- Maintain accurate CRM records and outreach activity logs
- Follow up with prospects in a professional and organized manner
- Track outreach activity and provide regular reporting
- Support business development campaigns and outreach initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable speaking with business owners and professionals over the phone
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Professional and confident communication style
- Ability to work independently and follow a structured outreach process
- Positive attitude and ability to handle rejection professionally
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools
Preferred
- Interest in sales, business development, entrepreneurship, startups, or small business
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, fundraising, call centres, sales, or another client-facing role
- Experience with outbound calling, prospecting, or professional networking
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, CRM software, or sales tools
- Completion of, or current enrollment in, a program related to Business, Commerce, Marketing, Communications, Economics, or a related field
Compensation
- $18.00–$24.00 per hour
- Additional incentives may be offered for qualified meetings booked
- Flexible part-time schedule of approximately 15–20 hours per week
