The Role
This position will focus on general repairs, CVIPs, preventative maintenance, and some troubleshooting on heavy duty trucks and equipment.
Repair & Maintenance
- Perform general repairs and maintenance on heavy duty trucks and equipment
- Complete CVIP inspections and related repairs
- Test vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Coordinate with Parts Technicians to ensure required components are available or ordered
Troubleshooting
- Perform some troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems
- Review repair concerns provided by Service Advisors
- Interpret findings, document work completed, and communicate accurate repair timelines
Documentation & Training
- Accurately track time and document all repair work performed
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with new technologies and procedures

- 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 10.5 hours per day
- 42 hours per week
Education & Certification
- Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician required
- Red Seal preferred
- CVIP certification is an asset
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license is an asset
