We are seeking a professional Bookkeeper / Accountant to be a part of our Accounting and Office team while supporting the Company, Sales, Project Management and Operations teams.

Responsibilities
As the Accountant / Bookkeeper, you will be on a team with our Accounting and Office Administrator and execute the A/R, A/P, Payroll, Benefit Administration, Financial Statements, Invoicing, Contract Review and Sales Admin Support activities. You will also prepare quarterly financial statements, conduct Project Analysis, Profitability Analysis and Process/System Improvement initiatives.
Additional details include:
· Being the “face” and “voice” of the company
- Working with General Manager on identifying areas of improvements and initiating resolutions
- Working with other managers and staff on improving processes and efficiencies
- Reviewing and executing contract requirements, cash flow, progress draws, supplier/customer payments and other financial obligations
- Various Reporting responsibilities including Sales, WIP, Forecasts, Income Statement projection, etc.
- Execute payroll and HR Administration on behalf of all staff including new hires, staff statuses, personnel records, government filings and documentation.
- Identifying and executing contract documents as required
- Primary contact and responsibility for office related issues
Requirements
As the Accountant / Bookkeeper, you bring your positivity to our workplace and possess exceptional communication, listening and organizational skills. You will have solid business, accounting/bookkeeping and office administration skills and be driven to improve processes for efficiency gains. General requirements include:
- College or university diploma/degree related to Business Administration or Accounting
- Ability to pass a reference or background check
- 2 to 5 years of experience working in a private business being responsible for payroll, office administration and accounting/bookkeeping duties dealing with contracts
- Supervisory experience in an office setting would be an asset
- Experience with industries such as architecture, interior design, general contracting, construction, signage, graphics, marketing, facilities management, etc. would be an asset
- Computer Skills – Quickbooks, MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook
- Fluent English – reading, writing and speaking
Pay: $55,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
