Job Title: Insurance Business Analyst – FireLight (Product Configuration)

Position Review
This role is responsible for configuring and maintaining insurance carrier products (primarily annuities, life insurance, and related products) within the FireLight platform. The position ensures that carrier products are accurately set up, compliant with broker-dealer rules, and fully functional for advisors/registered representatives to quote, illustrate, and submit applications electronically.
Responsibilities
Build and configure new insurance carrier products within the FireLight platform.
Configure product rules, underwriting guidelines, rate tables, riders, and product features.
Maintain data fields, forms, application workflows, suitability rules, compliance checks, and broker-dealer requirements.
Work with insurance carriers to implement new product launches, rate changes, form updates, and regulatory adjustments.
Perform testing of configured products including quoting, illustrations, e-applications, and e-signature workflows.
Ensure accurate, compliant, and In-Good-Order (IGO) submissions.
Troubleshoot and resolve configuration-related issues reported by advisors, operations teams, and carriers.
Provide Tier 2/3 support for FireLight-related product and configuration issues.
Configure and maintain suitability workflows, disclosures, and compliance forms.
Maintain detailed documentation of product configurations, carrier specifications, and change logs.
Collaborate with carriers, compliance, sales, operations, and technology teams.
Coordinate with platform vendors for complex product configuration changes and updates.
Required Qualifications
Strong understanding of insurance products, including fixed, indexed, and variable annuities, as well as life insurance.
Hands-on experience with the FireLight platform preferred, or similar configurable insurance/e-application platforms.
Knowledge of broker-dealer operations, suitability requirements, regulatory compliance, and workflow rules.
Experience with product rules engines, workflow configuration, and forms management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to manage multiple carrier implementation projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience at a broker-dealer or insurance carrier in product implementation.
Background in insurance operations, new business processing, or sales support.
Familiarity with API integrations and platform administration.
Experience as a FireLight Configuration Analyst, Insurance Product Configuration Specialist, Annuity Product Setup Analyst, Digital Sales Platform Administrator (FireLight), or Carrier Integration Analyst.
