Parkscape is looking to expand its talent pool and is seeking motivated and reliable Landscape Technicians with hands-on experience in landscape construction. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, operating tools and equipment, and contributing to high-quality landscape design-build projects.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assist with landscape construction projects including site preparation, grading, and installation of materials
Install hardscape elements such as interlock, natural stone, retaining walls, and concrete features
Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from work areas
Operate landscaping and construction equipment such as plate compactors, cut-off saws, and small machinery
Assist with forming, transferring, and finishing concrete when required
Support excavation, grading, and earth leveling using rakes, shovels, and other tools
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and organized condition
Follow site plans and instructions provided by foremen or supervisors
Ensure work sites remain clean and safe throughout the project
Remove debris and construction waste using wheelbarrows or other equipment
Perform other duties as assigned by the foreman or supervisor
Skills & Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in landscape construction, construction labour, or similar outdoor construction work
Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Experience using landscaping tools and construction equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and site plans
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Steel-toed safety boots required
Working cellphone required for communication on job sites
Valid driver’s license is an asset
Spanish language is an asset
Valid Canadian work permit or legal authorization to work in Canada is required
