About the Role
We are currently hiring an experienced DZ Driver to join a growing asphalt paving and construction company. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being part of a team and doesn't mind getting out of the truck to assist on the job site when required.
If you have experience operating manual transmission dump trucks, take pride in safe driving practices, and are looking for steady, full-time work, we'd love to hear from you.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional Saturdays available for additional pay
- Immediate start available
Responsibilities
- Safely operate manual transmission Tri-Axle and Tandem Dump Trucks
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Transport asphalt, aggregates, and construction materials to and from job sites
- Follow all Ministry of Transportation and company safety regulations
- Assist the paving and construction crew on-site when required
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment
Requirements
- Valid Ontario DZ Driver's Licence
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Must be 25 years of age or older (insurance requirement)
- Experience operating manual transmission commercial vehicles
- Experience with Tri-Axle and/or Tandem Dump Trucks
- Clean Driver's Abstract and CVOR
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Physically capable of assisting with general labour duties on construction sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in asphalt paving, construction, excavation, or road work
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Team player with a positive attitude
