Pull & Terminate and Troubleshoot CAT6/CAT6A Cabling:
- Use proper techniques to pull and route CAT6/CAT6A cables in a structured manner.
- Terminate the cables at both ends, ensuring proper connections and adherence to industry standards.
- Troubleshooting jacks (MDVO - Modular Drop Vault Outlet) and pigtails involves identifying and resolving issues with the connectivity
Label, Test, and Certify Cabling:
- Label each cable appropriately for easy identification.
- Utilize a Cable Certifier to test and certify the cables, ensuring they meet performance standards.
Dress Copper/Fiber Cabling:
- Organize and secure copper and fiber cabling according to specifications.
- Use cable ties, Velcro straps, or other cable management tools to maintain a neat and orderly appearance.
Terminating on BIX and Patch Panels:
- Properly terminate cables on BIX (Building Industry Cross-Connect) and patch panels, ensuring secure connections and proper cable management.
Install, Mount, and Fasten Cable Trays and J-Hooks:
- Install cable trays and J-Hooks to support and route cables overhead.
- Ensure secure mounting and proper weight distribution to prevent cable sagging or damage.
Install Network Racks and Cabinets:
- Assemble and install network racks and cabinets according to specifications.
- Ensure proper grounding and organization of equipment within the racks.
REQUIREMENTS:
MUST HAVE:
- Corporation & Insurance
- Ladder certification
- Minimum 5 years experience in cable pulling or electrical
- Worked in a construction environment
- Your own tools (cable tester, stripper, cutter, crimping tool, punch tool, fish tape/wire snake, drywall cutter, stud finder, etc...)
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as Hard Hat, Steel Toes, etc…
- Travel to various GTA Locations
- No criminal records
NICE TO HAVE:
- Safety certifications (WHIMIS, Working at Heights, Genie boom and/or Scissor Lift Platform , Fall Protection )
- Belden certification
- Dust Containment tent
- Genie book and/or scissor lift training
- Fibre experience (splicing, terminations, etc...)

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
