Explore your next role:
As a key member of the Line Maintenance, Trenton team, the Maintenance Apprentice will report to the Crew lead supervisor, and will be responsible for performing aircraft inspections, troubleshoot defects and carry out rectifications in accordance with the Maintenance Control and Policy manual and Transport Canada Regulations.
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions or other related problems in the aircraft as per technical manuals, drawings, and Data Packages.
- Maintain aircraft electronic systems and equipment, including communications and navigation equipment.
- Assemble, modify, and repair various electrical harness assemblies.
- Carry out bench assessment and repair of various aircraft components in accordance with the applicable component maintenance manuals.
- Troubleshoot aircraft systems to identify problems and adjust/repair systems according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals and established procedures.
- Perform and document scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance as dictated by the manufacturer, per Voyageur’s policy and Transport Canada.
- Ensure that all maintenance operations are conducted in accordance with applicable legislation, company policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in Voyageur’s Safety Management System including report hazards and incidents encountered during daily operations.
- Understand, comply with and promote the Company’s safety culture.
Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:
- College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance from a Transport Canada approved educational institution and actively pursuing AME license.
- Related work experience in an aviation environment is considered an asset.
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions with strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, responsible, and self-motivated with demonstrated problem solving skills.
Eligibility:
- You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit), provide a clear Criminal Background Check, and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to be considered for this position.
- You must be able to obtain Enhanced Canadian Government Security Clearance – Voyageur will assist with your application.
- You must be in possession of and maintain a valid passport at all times.
