The Role
We are seeking a mature, reliable and hardworking individual to join our team. This is a versatile role perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoor, takes pride in property aesthetics, and is looking for year-round stability. You will be responsible for the "face" of our properties during the growing season and a key player in our construction and snow operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Property Care: Regular mowing, string trimming, blowing and pick up of grass clippings/debris
- Site Cleanliness: Diligent removal of garbage, debris, and fallen branches to ensure a pristine appearance.
- Crew Support: Working alongside our landscape construction team on larger projects (grading, sodding, hardscaping etc.) AS NEEDED
- Winter Operations: Operating snow plows, blowers, sidewalk machines, hand shoveling, and salt equipment during the winter months (on-call availability required for snow events)
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience operating commercial lawn equipment (zero-turns mowers, trimmers, blowers)
- License: Valid Ontario Class G License with a clean driving record (abstract may be requested) Experience driving truck with a maintenance trailer is ESSENTIAL.
- Maturity: We are looking for candidates 25+ years of age for insurance purposes and to ensure a high level of independent reliability.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions (heat, rain, and snow)
- Attitude: A "no task is too small" mindset - whether you are picking up litter or assisting on a construction build, you bring the same level of focus
- Reliable - Our routes are tightly scheduled, and the day starts exactly on time. Looking for someone who can maintain a steady, productive pace throughout the day without micro-management.
