Play Cafe Key HolderPosition Summary
Prairie Pals Play Cafe is looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Key Holder to join our team. This role is responsible for providing outstanding customer service while helping ensure the cafe runs smoothly and safely. As a Key Holder, you'll be trusted to open and close the cafe, assist families, prepare cafe beverages and food, maintain a clean and welcoming environment, and lead birthday parties. This position requires someone who is dependable, takes initiative, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience
- Welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Check in customers using our point-of-sale system.
- Answer customer questions about admissions, memberships, parties, and cafe offerings.
- Provide exceptional customer service to every family who visits.
Cafe Operations
- Prepare coffee, specialty beverages, and other menu items.
- Prepare snacks and perform light food preparation.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe and food preparation areas.
- Restock food, beverage, and cafe supplies as needed.
Play Area and Facility
- Keep the play cafe clean, organized, and safe throughout each shift.
- Sanitize toys, play equipment, tables, and high-touch surfaces.
- Complete routine daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks.
- Ensure the facility is presentation-ready at all times.
Birthday Parties
- Prepare party rooms before each event.
- Welcome party guests and assist with check-in.
- Coordinate party timelines and ensure events run smoothly.
- Clean and reset party rooms after each booking.
Team Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with fellow team members to provide an exceptional guest experience.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and management.
- Be confident making decisions and managing the cafe when working independently.
- Open and close the cafe following company procedures.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Schedule and Availability
- Must be available to work weekdays, evenings as required, and weekends.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to cover shifts when needed.
